    Transforming Digitally

    Collaboration

For the Digital Transformation course within the Business Administration program, we are looking for companies in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region that would like to collaborate with our second-year students on digital transformation challenges. Digitalization and technological developments are evolving rapidly. Organizations face the challenge of improving processes, using data more effectively, and guiding employees through change. Digital transformation is therefore not only about technology, but also about strategy, organizational structure, and human behavior

    Purpose of the Collaboration
The goal of this collaboration is to connect businesses and students. Our students will immerse themselves in your organization and identify both opportunities and bottlenecks. This allows students to gain practical experience within a complex organization, while companies benefit from fresh and innovative perspectives. An example of a possible challenge:
A hospitality company implements self-service ordering kiosks to enable customers to place orders digitally. Which key performance indicators (KPIs) are most suitable for measuring the success of this digital transformation?
In this example, the students delivered an implementation plan describing the KPIs and explaining how these could be integrated into the organization.

    Requirements for Participating Companies
Participating SMEs should have at least 10 employees.
    We expect companies to provide:
    • A concrete assignment or challenge related to digital transformation
    • Access to relevant information about business processes
    • Openness to sharing relevant data related to the challenge

    Benefits for the Organization
The collaboration offers a fresh and critical perspective on your organization and digital transformation challenges.

Students will analyze processes, organizational structures, and people in relation to digital transformation. Based on their findings, they will provide practical recommendations aligned with the organization’s strategy and capabilities. Where relevant, this may also include translating data and KPIs into a clear and insightful dashboard to support decision-making.

    Timeline
The course runs from late August until mid-November.
During the project, there will be four meetings of approximately three hours each, including:
    • One preparatory meeting
    • A joint kick-off and introduction with the students
    • One online session where students can ask questions
    • A final on-site presentation session
The company is asked to appoint one employee as the main contact person for questions and communication throughout the project.

    Interested organizations can contact: r.e.schilperoort@hr.nl and/or j.valtulina@hr.nl
