    The Rotterdam Business School (RBS) is a community of professionals who, together with our students, form a dynamic educational institution for the economic field.     RBS offers English taught programmes at Bachelors and Masters level. Our Master programmes are Master in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship and Master in International Supply Chain Management. We also offer a pre-master programme. Sustainability is an important theme throughout all of our programmes. Our suite of English taught master’s programmes, including the Master in Supply Chain Management equips professionals with the knowledge and tools to lead in a rapidly changing global business environment. These programmes are deeply rooted in real-world challenges and co-created with industry partners to ensure direct relevance and impact. 

    To support the growth and quality of our master’s education, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Supply Chain Management to join our team and contribute to both teaching and applied research within the programme.

    What are you going to do?

    • Deliver and assess course modules in supply chain management, including logistics, procurement, operations management, and sustainability;
    • Supervise and coach students during their final thesis projects and throughout their studies;
    • Engage with students through in-person classes, projects, and discussions;
    • Contribute to curriculum development in collaboration with colleagues and external partners;
    • Collaborate with other programs to offer interdisciplinary learning experiences;
    • Participate in team meetings, planning, and academic activities.

    Are you who we are looking for?

    • Recent professional experience in supply chain or logistics;
    • A commitment to coaching and teaching in an applied, student-centered environment;
    • Strong communication skills in English;
    • A collaborative mindset and commitment to team-based curriculum delivery;
    • Master’s degree (required); PhD or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory);
    • Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands, which requires EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or a valid residence and work permit.

    This position is based at the university campus; teaching and related activities are conducted on-site.

    What do we offer you?

    • A fixed term contract (D4) for the period of one year;
    • A salary of €4.535,76 - € 6.359,47 gross per month (scale 11) based on a fulltime employment. The classification depends on experience;
    • Good fringe benefits, such as 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
