What are you going to do?
You will be part of the Admissions team which is responsible for checking the eligibility of non-Dutch diploma’s. This will be your main responsibility. We work closely together with our university’s main student administration and with Nuffic, the Dutch organization for internationalization.
You will also be responsible for:
- Checking students’ files and keeping track of their application documents;
- Monitoring students’ application status and acting accordingly;
- Communicating with students via email, Teams and at the front office;
- Attending the Open Days on Saturdays (rotating schedule with your colleagues).
Are you the one we’re looking for?
The Centre of International Affairs (CoIA) is looking for a new Admissions officer. The position is available as of January 1st 2027. CoIA supports internationalization within Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. The department consists of six subteams: Marketing & Recruitment, Admissions, Student Support, Exchange, Travel and Policy & Advice. Yearly we welcome over 1000 international students for an English taught study or exchange programme.
Deciding to study abroad is a huge life changing decision for our students. As an Admissions Officer, you check the eligibility of bachelor- and master applicants and grant them Conditional Admission if they match all criteria. Working accurately and being able to deal with high-peak periods and deadlines in a healthy way are key.
You also bring:
- At least an MBO 4 degree;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dutch proficiency is a plus;
- The ability to work accurately under pressure with deadlines during high-peak periods;
- Patience and a customer oriented mindset: you have a helpful attitude and are able to communicate clearly with students and colleagues from different backgrounds;
- Experience in administrative processes.
What do we offer?
- A one-year contract upon starting employment (D4 CAO HBO)
- Salary in scale 7 €3.064,08 minimum and €4.084,93 maximum gross per month (based on full-time employment, depending on experience and qualifications)
