    Entrepreneurship & Retail Management graduate

What motivates you to get out of bed every morning?

"I graduated in Entrepreneurship and Retail Management, and I am currently between jobs. My passion is the energy transition, and I am already devoting all my time and energy to it, so I am certain that I will be working in this field. During my studies, I worked for Stedin Group (sustainable energy systems) and Triodos Bank. These roles greatly increased my interest in sustainability, climate change, and social and energy issues."

What is your biggest contribution to making our institution more sustainable? In short, what are you proud of, and why?

“I have hosted workshops about sustainability, organised events, and co-authored the Green Office annual report."

What do you want to contribute and achieve in the (near) future that you'd be satisfied and content with?

"I’ve devoted all this time to sustainability issues for good reason. I really see a future for myself in the energy sector. I already have some new contacts at companies, but I can't reveal anything about that yet. I hope that, for the people at the Green Office, RUAS will soon be unable to do without them. I hope they will leave a sustainable mark on everything that happens in education, research, and business operations."

What would you like to share with your fellow human beings, lecturers and students in terms of sustainability?

"Wherever you are in the chain, everyone is needed and must take action. If you turn one cog, the others will start moving too. So start today. You have to be pragmatic and collaborate with polluting companies such as Shell, because you can't immediately overturn the entire existing system. In that respect, I am optimistic and perhaps even green-right-wing."
