This report provides a beacon in times of change and uncertain Antarctic tourism futures. Rather than predicting the single future that will happen is impossible, report helps public and private sector stakeholders to make sense of the future, raising awareness about the existence of different futures and enhancing their ‘future consciousness’. Different types of scenario planning methods were used to create a large set of future scenarios on Antarctic tourism: 1x baseline scenario, 4x explorative scenarios, 1x aspirational scenario, and 27x risks-based scenarios.
