FAAP

Today we live in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. Learning how to make decisions, evaluate multiple scenarios and understand the new business world of startups is increasingly important in all careers.

For this reason, FAAP transformed its traditional Entrepreneurship Center, founded in 2003, into FAAP Business HUB (B-HUB), which is our own startup.

B-HUB incorporates the role of promoting entrepreneurship, offering guidance, training and, since 2014, the challenge #EmpreendaFAAP, a contest which allows the viability of projects for students and alumni.

The diversity of thinking minds due to the combination of students, alumni, professors, consultants and mentors, provides an environment which is rich in ideas and partnerships, an ideal place for the development of entrepreneurship.

However, B-HUB offers much more. It is the connection between FAAP and the market which permits companies to develop projects in different areas with the participation and involvement of students in real decisions. A living opportunity to apply the concepts and experiences they have learned in the classroom.

With the right mingle of young millennials, qualified professors, strategic partners and a good market challenge, B- HUB is the ideal environment for innovation, development of new projects, creation of communication strategies and corporate training.

We believe the continuous development of entrepreneurial individuals who are characterized by their resilience, willpower and capacity for transformation is much more important than developing projects and companies.

Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences: Rotterdam Business School

Over 12,000 students and 800 staff members study and work within Rotterdam Business School on a big variety of business study programmes. We share the same drive. We are here every day to contribute to the development of young people.

Rotterdam Business School reflects the city with its cultural diversity and a practical approach to contemporary issues, in which education, professional practice and practice-oriented research go hand in hand. Rotterdam Business School has created its own distinct profile and focuses its activities on four areas, namely purpose economy, circular economy, digital economy and leadership. These key points of interest uniquely connect the Business School to the Rotterdam region.

We want to be an educational organisation for everyone, in which education is focused on the personal and professional development of the student. We provide education in a learning environment with contemporary practical assignments. Our education prepares students for a changing work field and a changing society. Now that professional profiles are becoming increasingly unclear, we train our students more broadly, flexibly and with an even greater focus on practice.

Within our Entrepreneurship Programme, we train our students to become entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs who are capable of creating jobs in rapidly changing markets. Students who already launched their entrepreneurial journey, will do so from their own start-up. When they are intrapreneurs, they are managers and build a branch, department or business unit of a larger company. We created an Incubator and Start-Up Academy, to give our students the opportunity to work on and develop their own start-ups and to excel in entrepreneurship.

We help students create ideas and tackle problems, and, from time to time, take decisions which are not totally without risk.

Entrepreneurs are also able to work well with others. Collaboration is key.
