Tuition fee, costs of living and other study costs

What are the costs for studying at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences? You can find more information below for an overview of the financial aspect of studying at our institution.

Tuition fee for 2016

EU/EEA students € 11,000
Non-EU students* € 11,000 

*Subject to change 

Additional: Administration fee €250.

Students who have finished the Pre-Master programme, will receive an €1.500 discount.

EEA (European Economic Area) students

The following countries belong to this category: 

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, the Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and The United Kingdom.

Students from Surinam will be charged the same fees as students from EEA countries.

Tuition fee for Refugees

Students who have been officially recognized by the UAF (the Foundation for Refugee Students) are required to pay the same tuition fees as EU/EEA students. Please contact CoIA for more information. 

Costs of living

What does it cost to study in Rotterdam?

To cover your living expenses, such as housing, food, insurance and transportation you should expect to spend approximately € 700 - € 1,000 a month, excluding your tuition fee.

The costs are roughly as follows:

Other study costs

For the purchase of books, readers and other materials you can expect to pay between € 300 and € 750 per year.
