The WdKA stands for groundbreaking art education, fostering relationships with social and educational partners who add substance to an academy that constantly challenges its own boundaries. In addition to art education, the WdKA offers teacher training in the arts and economic education aimed at entrepreneurship in the creative industry.
The mission and vision of the WdKA are geared towards developing new views on the relevance of the artist, designer, educator or producer. Crossing the border between disciplines (artistic and scientific) is the starting point. The curriculum is founded in an interdisciplinary ethos through the Autonomous, Social, and Commercial Practices. In the Bachelor programs the Major studies are the entry point for all Bachelor students. Further on, the Practices provide the interdisciplinary research contexts in the graduation phase. The highly unique Stations (advanced workshops focused on Research through Making) form a third pillar of the institute. The WdKA aspires to extend the offering of Master studies in alignment with the highly interdisciplinary and projected transdisciplinary development of her programs.
We consider the following requirements as entry criteria for this position:
- A Master degree in a relevant field;
- At least 5 years of relevant leadership experience in higher education in arts;
- Fluency in Dutch and English;
- EU/ECC work authorization.
Applications that meet these entry requirements will be taken into consideration for the next stages of the selection procedure.
