Vraagstelling

The Power-Gen Asia is an annual fair organised in a Southeast Asian country for professionals in the field of energy and electricity generation. It was my task to help set up the Holland Pavillion at the fair and to organise a mission/matchmaking event for the participants.

Aanpak

This involved many different tasks as it was quite a complex endeavour. I first focused on gathering information and studying how past editions had been organised, to help me get a clear idea of what needed to be done. I contacted the MDBC (Malaysian Dutch Business Council), the Dutch Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and the EVD (Economic Information Service) for all the necessary contacts in Malaysia. During the Power-Gen, I was the first point of contact for the people visiting the Holland Pavilion. I also spent a lot of my time during the fair organising the mission/matchmaking programme.

Resultaat

After extensive evaluation of the participating organisations, the Holland Pavilion was considered to be one of the most successful during the Power-Gen Asia. The participating companies were extremely pleased with both the organisation conducted by the VGT before the fair as well as with the onsite organisation during the fair.
