International Business and Management Studies

IBMS is a broad management study programme in English, covering all aspects of international business and management.

IBMS prepares students for professional careers in international companies. Based on a combination of elements from the fields of marketing, sales, finance, and management, the programme has a special focus on international trade and commerce.

Do you want to study in an international environment and gain practical experience at international companies? During this 4 year study programme you will work with classmates from all over the world. You will also have the opportunity to gain international experience through a placement (abroad), and a study-abroad semester at one of our partner universities.

The profile of the IBMS student is based on competencies defined after intensive consultation with the business world and society concerning the knowledge, skills and attitude needed by future managers. The IBMS graduate is aware of international economic developments and the effects they have on the international organisation. Competent in intercultural leadership, analysis, creative problem solving, and planning, IBMS graduates are highly sought after around the world for positions such as Marketing Manager, Consultant, Area Manager, Financial Controller and Sales Manager.

Hogeschool Rotterdam biedt een studieprogramma op basis van het Rotterdams Onderwijs Model. Kennisgestuurd, praktijkgestuurd en studentgestuurd. De hogeschoolgids 2011-2012 met de curriculumschema's is momenteel nog niet beschikbaar.

Study program

To translate the practical, hands-on mentality associated with the city of Rotterdam and the talent development of our students into education Rotterdam University, University of Applied Sciences has developed a tightly implemented education model.
